Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7
Isn’t it amazing how much the Lord loves us and how He expects us to love each other too? I am so overcome by the generosity of spirit and the kind hearts of all those around me and my family. It is with a grateful heart and a humble spirit that I share just a few of the numerous blessings that our family has received even before my surgery. The other day, several sweet ladies from our church came with a wonderful dinner, prayed and even cried with me for God’s touch on my life during this hard time. They then helped me to prepare a space for a hospital bed that will sit in my living room, in the hopes that I will be able to rehab at home in the coming weeks. That was such a blessing and watching these awesome gals polishing my wood and cleaning behind furniture that hasn’t been moved in years (a rather scary task for sure!) it made me think of how much the Lord really loves us and sends friends to share their time and talents at just the right time… Another day in the week, I was not feeling very well and a wonderful friend brought me some soup out of the blue... it was just what the Dr ordered! So THANKFUL! Yet another day, a trip to the dentist for an aching jaw brought comfort in the form of 2 prayer warriors lifting me up to the Lord... So BLESSED! Then on Saturday, I was blessed to share a program about God-given friendships with a group of delightful ladies. It was a wonderful time and at the end of the program, I was honored to have them pray for God’s touch on my life and healing on my body. What an AWESOME way to share God’s love and shine His light in my life. I was there to minister to them and yet it was them who ministered to me. So awesome! Over the weekend, my sisters (from San Antonio and Millton FL) had flown in for my surgery and most of our family was together on Sunday morning. We were honored to join our parents at church, along with some out of town friends who came to visit and so many very dear friends from town too. It was truly a blessing to not only worship together, but to pray together. At the end of the service, the pastor gathered a group of awesome prayer warriors who flooded the throne with powerful words of peace, of encouragement and of HEALING! Standing in the center of these loving souls made my heart well up with such comfort, blessed by those who were interceding on my behalf, calling the glory down and boldly pleading before the throne of grace, for a touch on my life. So many times I have been on the other side of the prayer circle and praying for others seems to come so naturally, but I can honestly say that I have NEVER realized the blessings in my heart that come from the prayers of faithful prayer warriors for me as I did this day! Later in the day, our good friend Carol and her daughters, Suzanne and Janine blessed my family with a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. It was AMAZING and we are truly thankful for such a wonderful meal that our entire family could share together. After dinner, some of my closest friends and family came to once again lift me up in prayer, believing for a steady hand for the surgeon, a successful surgery, a quick recovery, peace for my family and a bold testimony to all that God can do. How awesome is that? Tomorrow our Pastor and his wife will stop by to once again lift our family in prayer before we head into Madison to be ready to go bright and early Tuesday morning. I am certainly blessed by all around us and can certainly feel the love and support from every one of you. I cannot tell you how important it is to have people pray for us, Sometimes when we are going through a difficult time in our life, it can be hard to pray for ourself and we so desperately need others to stand in the gap for us… Thank you to those who are standing in the gap for me at this time and for my family! I feel so blessed and truly grateful for each one of you. I will be having friends and family give updates on my recovery until I will be able to post on my own. Thank you in advance for your continued prayers! Lots of Love and BUNCHES of Blessings to all of you! Jeaunetta
