Have you ever had one of those days where it seemed like you were just a little off? There are so many ways I could put it: a french fry short of a happy meal... a day late, a dollar short... 2 planets short of a universe and oh, so many others. As funny as it sounds, the truth is, as I went about my day, I became more and more frustrated with everything that happened and upset about the things that did not.
It was not a horrible day, I just could not figure out why so many things were not coming together and why even my children were at odds with each other. Finally, I took a TIME OUT for me and went to my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. The second I did this, I was reminded that when I woke up, I was busy with one son headed to school and a sick son staying home, I had not taken time to commit my day to God and ask His blessings upon it. The verse "Pray without ceasing" - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 came to my mind as I was contemplating my hectic day and, after my TIME OUT, I became renewed and things were so much better for our entire family. I thank God for who He is and that He cares about my day and wants it to go well too. It is such a good feeling to be able to go to Him at any and all times and that He is ALWAYS there for me. He is there for you too. Go to Him now and commit your day to Him and I promise, it will go so much better! I found this poem and thought it fit beautifully into my life this day and is a great reminder for all of us! Blessings to you all! Time to Pray! I got up early one morning And rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish That I didn’t take time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me And heavier became each task. "Why doesn’t GOD help me?" I wondered He answered, "You didn’t ask." I wanted to see joy and beauty But the day toiled on, gray and bleak I wondered why GOD didn’t show me, He said, "But you didn’t even seek." I tried to come into GOD’s presence; I used all my keys on the lock. GOD gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn’t knock." I woke up early this morning, And paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish, That I had to take time to pray. Anonymous
