Feeling Defeated? Leap over that wall!

Are you feeling defeated today? Does it seem like you are carrying the weight of the world? Sometimes we are so overwhelmed by circumstances in our lives that we cannot accept the blessings that God has set out for us.

I have a friend who is going through a hard time right now and she is finding it hard to cling to the hope that is ours in Christ Jesus. I was thinking about ways to encourage her and God immediately brought a childhood scripture song to mind. Sing along if you know it as you’re reading this…

He's my Strength and my Shield; He gives POWER to all. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!"

Now there is no condemnation, Jesus is the ROCK of my SALVATION!

 Even if you have never heard the song, you can still claim the scriptures it comes from and know that it is the Word of God. Let that word be a powerful encouragement for you today…  

For by you I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.Psalm 18:29

 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1, 2

These verses declare the VICTORY and FREEDOM that is ours in Christ Jesus during even the darkest of circumstances. This means God will give us the ability to escape and to rise up against the wall of defeat in our lives!

If you feel defeated and that your enemy is about to overtake you, make this your song or VICTORY chant.... KNOW it and CLAIM it this very day, God has defeated your enemies and all you need to do is declare his Word over your situation and believe that the victory is yours. He has so many wonderful things planned for your life, so do not let your circumstances dictate your future. Instead let God’s promises lead you to VICTORY!
